| The
DUO is a therapeutically advanced tricycle
which is designed to encourage both hand/arm
and leg movements.
Designed for child development, the DUO
is ideally suited for children with good
upper body strength but with weaker lower
limbs. The DUO'S unique modular design
allows it to convert to a conventional
foot propelled tricycle when the rider
is ready to progress.
Available
in two models; IMP DUO and Terrier Duo,
these cycles maximize muscle development;
encourage coordination and aid with the
mobilization of stiff joints. Propelled
by hand, foot or both, the pedals rotate
in synchronization, thereby enabling the
arms to assist the legs to propel the
trike. The hand pedals are fitted with
a back-pedal coaster brake drive system;
the foot pedals have a fixed drive system.
This combination of gearing and braking
makes the DUO a very comfortable and easy
tricycle to ride and control.
